About this project

Ikariam Island Tracker is an unofficial, open-source, non-profit tool for the Ikariam gaming community. This document explains what data we process, for what purpose, and what rights you have over it.

This site is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Gameforge 4D GmbH. "Ikariam" is a registered trademark of Gameforge. The data shown belongs to its respective owners and is displayed for informational and statistical purposes only.

Data controller

The data controller is the project maintainer. You can get in touch at ikariamislandtracker@gmail.com for any privacy-related query, exercise of rights or deletion request.

What data we process

The application stores publicly visible in-game state information, available to any Ikariam player with an active account:

• Island coordinates, names and state (sawmill, mine, wonder levels, slots, Helios Tower).
• Player name, score and associated alliance for each island.
• Alliance names and tags.
• Technical logs (IP, User-Agent, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting purposes.

We do not collect real-world identification data (legal name, postal address, phone number). Player and alliance names are pseudonyms chosen by users within the game.

Purpose and legal basis

Data is processed to offer statistics, searches and visualisations to the gaming community. The legal basis is legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in providing a useful tool to the community, balanced against the rights of the people whose pseudonyms appear. No advertising, profiling or automated decision-making with significant effects takes place.

Retention

Game data is kept while the project is active or until deletion is requested. Technical logs are deleted within 30 days.

Third-party sharing

We do not sell or transfer data to third parties. The infrastructure is hosted on Render (a US-based service provider) under standard contractual clauses. Displayed data is publicly accessible on the project website.

Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability at any time by writing to ikariamislandtracker@gmail.com. If you believe the processing breaches the GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

Deletion request

If you play Ikariam and do not want the data of your island, player or alliance to appear here, send an email to ikariamislandtracker@gmail.com specifying server, world and name. We will process the deletion within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect legal or functional changes in the project. The date of the last revision is shown at the top of the document.
